Pearl City's Holiday Fairs Take Turns Through November, Then Meet on the First Weekend of December

The first weekend of December is the busiest of Pearl City's holiday season. Three organizers who don't coordinate with each other run the area's holiday fairs, and through November their calendars mostly take turns. Pearlridge Center hosts weekend craft fairs on its own schedule. Pearl City Shopping Center holds a fair on the first Sunday of each month. The Pacific Palisades Neighborhood Market runs every second Wednesday. Most of the season, a weekend gets one of these or none. On December 5 and 6, nearly everything lands at once.

That makes this season easier to plan than it first looks. Treat the open weekends as open, and keep the first weekend of December clear.

December 6, hour by hour

The Annual Pearl City Christmas Parade is on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 4 p.m. It's sponsored by the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association, and Pearl City High School Project Grad volunteers coordinate it. The parade always falls on the first Sunday in December. This year that Sunday is also the date of the shopping center's monthly first-Sunday craft fair, so the merchants' biggest day and the fair share a date. Here's the day, from the parade press release:

  1. 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.: The Food & Craft Fair, hosted by 808 Craft & Gift Fairs, sets up on the lower parking level near American Savings Bank and Grand Chinese Restaurant. It features local food, handmade crafts and holiday gifts.
  2. 4 p.m.: The parade starts at Momilani Elementary School on Hookiekie Street, turns onto Hoolaulea Street and finishes at Pearl City Shopping Center, between H Mart and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The lineup includes Pearl City schools, first responders, floats, scouts, classic cars, sports teams, the Royal Hawaiian Band and Santa. Marching, Christmas Spirit and Vehicle Units each get a best-in-class award at the finish.
  3. 5 to 8 p.m.: The BLEIZN FX Cruz Night Car Show runs next to Flagship Fastlube and Union 76 on the makai side of the center. Entry for cars is by invitation, there are door prizes, and no purchase is required.

Groups that want to march still have time. Registration is free and open through November 20, and the application comes from the Pearl City Shopping Center events contacts named in the release.

On the fair's closing time, the 808 Craft & Gift Fairs listing gives both 7 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for December. The parade release says 6:30, so plan around that and check with the organizer before the day.

Why the shopping center put its energy into one Sunday

This year Pearl City Shopping Center stopped running its own Halloween event. In early October, MyPearlCity reported that the merchants association had ended its annual Halloween Costume Contest and Trick or Treat Parade. It backed a Halloween Bash at Momilani Community Center instead.

So the December parade is now the merchants' one big event of their own for the season, and they've stacked the fair and the car show around it. Without a Halloween event, more of the center's season-long effort goes into the first Sunday of December.

The Saturday beforehand fills in around it. Pearlridge's Kawaii Friends Craft Fair runs December 5 and 6. The Toys for Tots drive-by toy drive is at Momilani Community Center, 715 Hoomoana Street, on Saturday, December 5, according to MyPearlCity's announcement. The announcement doesn't give hours, so check before you load the car. Pearlridge's Open-Air Farmers' Market runs that morning as it does every Saturday. Momilani is the parade's starting area, so on that weekend the same few streets host a toy drive one day and the parade lineup the next.

How the rest of the season lines up

Outside the first weekend of December, the calendars mostly take turns. Here is every dated fair and market from this Saturday through December 20, by weekend.

Weekend What's on Where
Nov. 7–8 Kawaii Friends Craft Fair; Saturday farmers' market Pearlridge Center
Nov. 14–15 Saturday farmers' market only Pearlridge, Wai Makai lot
Nov. 21–22 Made With Aloha Gift Fair, both days; Saturday farmers' market; Pearl City High School Holiday Craft Fair, Sunday Pearlridge Center; PCHS cafeteria
Nov. 28–29 Saturday farmers' market only Pearlridge, Wai Makai lot
Dec. 5–6 Kawaii Friends Craft Fair; Saturday farmers' market; Toys for Tots drive Saturday; parade, 808 fair and Cruz Night Sunday Pearlridge; Momilani; Pearl City Shopping Center
Dec. 12–13 Saturday farmers' market only Pearlridge, Wai Makai lot
Dec. 19–20 Made With Aloha Gift Fair; Saturday farmers' market Pearlridge Center

The Pearlridge Open-Air Farmers' Market runs every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, with about 30 vendors in the Wai Makai street-level lot along Kamehameha Highway. On weekends with no fair, it's the only event on the list.

The Pearlridge fairs. The Made With Aloha Gift Fair is free to attend and runs from 10 a.m. Saturday to 5 p.m. Sunday on both of its weekends, November 21–22 and December 19–20. Kawaii Friends Craft Fair's two weekends are on the Pearlridge events calendar, but the calendar doesn't list its hours or where in the mall it sets up. Check closer to the date.

The school fair. The Pearl City High School Holiday Craft Fair is Sunday, November 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school cafeteria at 2100 Hookiekie Street. It closes three hours before the Made With Aloha fair at Pearlridge does that same day, so you can easily do both in one afternoon.

The first-Sunday fair. The 808 Craft & Gift Fair at Pearl City Shopping Center held its November date on November 1. Its next date is December 6. In regular months it runs 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with vendors upstairs near Bank of Hawaii and McDonald's and downstairs near Dave's Ice Cream. December moves it to the lower parking level for parade day.

The Wednesday market up the hill

The fourth calendar runs midweek. The Pacific Palisades Neighborhood Market meets every second Wednesday in 2026 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Pacific Palisades Community Center. Expect food trucks, bakers, packaged snacks, crafts and a produce and plant exchange. On that schedule, the next two dates are November 11 and December 9. November 11 is Veterans Day, and the listing doesn't mention a holiday exception, so check the organizer's page before driving up.

The December 9 market is the only fair-style event in the week after the parade, and that weekend has just the Saturday farmers' market. It's a good evening for small gifts you didn't get to on December 6.

Getting around on weekdays

A city road project near the mall runs only during weekday working hours, so it misses the weekend fairs. The City's Department of Design and Construction began erosion control work on Moanalua Road near Pearlridge Elementary School on October 19 and expects it to continue through March 2027. On weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays, the westbound right lane is closed from the Pearlridge Elementary driveway to Pono Street. The mauka-side sidewalk is closed during the same hours, and pedestrians are detoured to the makai side. The lane closure ends at 3:30 p.m., an hour before the Wednesday Palisades market opens. Work also affects driveway access to the school and Pearlridge Community Park. Weekday trips to the mall go more smoothly before 8:30 a.m. or after 3:30 p.m.

Skyline gives you a parking-free way in for a mall run or a fair weekend. The City's Skyline page points riders headed to Pearlridge, Pearl Kai and nearby shops to Kalauao station.

Pearlridge's posted hours for the season are close to its usual schedule. It's closed Thanksgiving, November 26. Black Friday, November 27, it's open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Otherwise the mall keeps its regular 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. December stays on that schedule, with 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on December 24 and closed on December 25. The Pearlridge hours page doesn't show extended holiday hours yet, so recheck it in December.

A newer stop between fairs

On the open weekends, there's a newer food stop just Diamond Head side of Pearlridge. Aloha Manapua opened its third location on August 14 at Waimalu Shopping Center, 98-020 Kamehameha Highway, and held a grand opening with a lion dance the next day, according to Aloha State Daily. It has a dine-in restaurant and a takeout window and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Since it's open until 8 every day, you can fit it in after a Saturday farmers' market morning or after a fair weekend at the mall.
